Abstract
The prior H chemisorption on graphite influences the adsorption properties of a second H atom HII at neighboring sites of the same carbon ring. This is investigated using DFT calculations. The present finding of a barrier-less adsorption of HII at the para site could be of importance for the molecular hydrogen formation in the interstellar medium.
