Abstract
Styrene oxide (SO), on photo-excitation at 193Â nm, undergoes molecular re-arrangement to generate enolic forms of phenylacetaldehyde and acetophenone, which subsequently either undergo cleavage of COH bond to produce OH, or get stabilized to corresponding keto forms.
