Abstract
Oxygenation of 1,3-diphenylisobenzofuran was studied in air-saturated solvents upon excitation of dissolved oxygen by infrared (1270 nm) laser radiation: O2[3Σg-(v=0)]+hν1270â1O2[1Îg(v=0)]1O2 + Trap â oxygenation The molar absorption coefficients (ε1270) of oxygen were calculated from the observed oxygenation rates. The obtained ε1270 were compared with the rate constants of the 1O2 radiative transition in the same media and the absorbance of the solvents at 1270 nm.
