Abstract
In many-body system dynamics, energy distributes among the degrees of freedom. These can be partitioned into homogeneous sets corresponding to physically-meaningful modes. Such modes can behave differently in critical phenomena, as is the case for 13- an 55-atom Lennard-Jones clusters phase transitions, examined in the Letter.
