Abstract
Time resolved photoelectron spectroscopy can disentagle electronic from vibrational dynamics in excited molecules by making use of the Koopmans' ionization correlations between excited states of the neutral molecule and it's cation. Thereby, the ionization potentials of the low lying cationic states of adenine and 9-methyl adenine are reassigned.
