Abstract
Anhydrous and monohydrated D-glucose exhibit different THz absorption peaks, which can be used to quantify the dehydration of D-glucose monohydrate upon heating. Therefore, the dehydration kinetics can be studied with THz spectroscopy. It demonstrates THz time-domain spectroscopy as a new tool to characterize the dehydration of a polycrystalline hydrate.
