Abstract
PETN and TATB radiation-induced decomposition in a diamond cell at variable pressure were studied at ambient temperature. The TATB decomposition rate decreased significantly when pressurized to 5.9Â GPa whereas the PETN decomposition rate varied little to 5.5Â GPa. Decomposition rates and order parameters of the reactions were determined.
