Abstract
The double HOMO and single HOMOâ4 are Ï-bonding orbitals, occupied by four electrons, rendering Ï-aromaticity. The double HOMOâ1 and single HOMOâ3 are Ï orbitals, occupied by six electrons, rendering Ï-aromaticity. Thus, triplet (C6v, 3A1) LiB7 species posses doubly (Ï- and Ï-) aromaticity.
