Abstract
Inner-valence photodetachment from the cyanide anion (CNâ) near the 2-electron threshold is studied. Absolute CN+ production cross sections are obtained, and C+ and N+ product fragments are monitored. A signature of inner-valence mediated autoionization, similar to the ICD phenomenon, is also identified for the first time.
