Abstract
The rearrangement to form H3O+ was observed to be specific to the ethanol clusters and this shows sharp contrast to the methanol clusters. The study of isotopically substituted ethanol (C2H5OD) suggests that not only the O-H-OH type hydrogen bond but the H migration from the C2H5 group is important.
