Abstract
Dodecyl sulfate intercalated-hydrotalcite is highly efficient in removing non-ionic organic solutes from aqueous solutions. Type III partition isotherms are described by casting the activity coefficients of the solutes solubilized within the hydrophobic interlamellar space of the organo-hydrotalcite in terms of the Flory-Huggins theory, the mixing parameter determining the isotherm shape.
