Abstract
The synthesis of long strands of N-doped single-walled carbon nanotubes is described. The doped material shows novel electrical properties and Raman features. The growth of large diameter tubes is inhibited as the N content is increased within the tubes. The tubes exhibit different chemical reactivity at high temperatures as a function of the N content.
