Abstract
The luminescence of bridging pyrazine (pyz) and pyridazine (pydz) ligands and their silver(I)-saccharinate (sac) complexes have been studied. Under UV radiation, the pyz and pydz molecules and their silver(I) complexes were shown to be luminescent in solution at room temperature. The experimental emission energies were compared by the HOMO-LUMO energy gaps calculated by density functional theory (DFT).
