Abstract
We have developed a concrete quantum simulation scheme and experimentally simulated a pairing model on an NMR quantum computer. Our results indicate that the experimental simulation can give the spectrum in the vicinity of the gap between the ground and the first excited states, and thus verified proof-of-principle the potential power of a quantum computer on the simulation of complex physical systems.
