Abstract
A long-lived radical-ion pair formed in the photolysis of xanthone and N,N-diethylaniline in 2-propanol is investigated by a time-resolved ESR method. The long lifetime is explained by the formation of a cluster-like transient radical-ion pair with surrounding solvent molecules.
