Abstract
NMR of D2 in nematic solvents gives dipolar and quadrupolar couplings which provide D2 order parameters (Szz, points) and average electric field gradients (FZZ) that D2 feels in the anisotropic environment. The line is Szz calculated from the anisotropic interaction between this FZZ and the D2 molecular quadrupole moment Qzz.
