Abstract
Deep-UV cavity ring-down spectroscopy and pressure ramps measurements in CO2 at room temperature provide extinction coefficients showing an absorption onset below 202 nm. For longer wavelengths it is found that the optical extinction demonstrates a 1/λ4 like behavior, as typical for Rayleigh scattering.
