Abstract
Rate coefficients for the gas-phase reactions of OH radicals and Cl atoms with methyl and ethyl chlorofluoroacetate were determined for the first time at 298Â K and atmospheric pressure of air. The reactivity is analyzed in terms of the halogen substitution, free-energy correlations are presented and tropospheric lifetimes are estimated.
