Abstract
Irradiation of benzene in a xenon matrix at 16Â K leads to H atoms and phenyl radicals, and annealing at 45Â K results in formation of HXeH and cyclohexadienyl radical. A computationally stable molecule HXeC6H5 is either not formed or not stabilized under the experimental conditions used.
