Abstract
Rate coefficients for the gas-phase reactions of OH radicals with methyl, ethyl and n-butyl methacrylate were determined at 298Â K and atmospheric pressure of air. Product identification showed the corresponding pyruvates as degradation products in accordance with the addition of OH to the less substituted carbon atom of the double bond.
