Abstract
The intersection of assembled onions forms the ignition point and the ribbon-like graphites are formed via a tangential relaxation to relieve the strain induced by the onion curvature. When the annealing time is increased, all the curved layers of assembled onions are changed into planar graphitic ribbons.
