Abstract
Blue luminescent silicon nanocrystals (Si-ncs) can be prepared by pulsed laser fragmentation of Si micrograins in spin on glass (SOG) solution. Micrograins dispersed in SOG are fragmented by pulsed laser irradiation and luminescent Si-ncs of quantum confinement size are formed. Their photoluminescence vary as a function of laser fluence.
