Abstract
SO2+ is a good cluster forming agent in water or aqueous aerosols compared to CO2+ via H-bonds. The formation of such hydrated clusters likely to happen leads to the formation of new aerosol particles in our atmosphere via ion-induced homo- and heterogeneous nucleation which also helps to form denser clouds, which could likely affect the temperature activity in the atmosphere.169
