Abstract
► HAlP was found to have a linear ground state, while HPAl, the global minimum, is bent. ► The possible unimolecular conversions between the low-lying states of HAlP and HPAl were discussed. ► The frequency for future analysis of the infrared spectrum of HAlP and HPAl were predicted.
