Abstract
⺠The reaction mechanism of the Mycobacterium tuberculosis type II DHQD was studied. ⺠It undergoes a two-step E1cB trans-elimination with an enolate intermediate. ⺠This mechanism can reasonably explain the experimental phenomena.
