Abstract
⺠We demonstrate that the major trans-resveratrol metabolites and bioactive peanut polyphenols are efficient antioxidants. ⺠The results demonstrate that the compounds studied scavenge free radical according to H-transfer mechanism. ⺠The metabolites of trans-resveratrol are shown to have a similar ability to scavenge free radicals as the parent compound.
