Abstract
⺠We presented ab initio band strengths for 56 bands in the F2Σ+-A2Πtransition of AlO. ⺠Band strength for 0-0 the only band observed is the largest of the calculated bands. ⺠Band strengths for unobserved 19 bands are of the same order of magnitude as the 0-0. ⺠We evaluated Einstein A coefficients and discussed a condition for detecting a band. ⺠We estimated the ratios of populations producing bands not less intense than the 0-0.
