Abstract
⺠The respective role of each Trp-cage residue was studied for its stability and dynamics. ⺠Three key residues of the Trp-cage were identified. ⺠The Asp9/Arg16 salt-bridge was found to be intrinsic in the Trp-cage and not readily affected.
