Abstract
⺠Present study points that, PtFn and PtCln belong to the class of superhalogens. ⺠Here using DFT, we show that Pt can have oxidation states ranging from +1 to +6. ⺠Large HOMO-LUMO gap reveals stability of subject compounds. ⺠The binding energy of NaPtF4 and NaPtCl4 are larger than that of NaF and NaCl.
