Abstract
⺠The complete electron trajectory in a cylindrical field is calculated. ⺠The CSA is a good analyzer in terms of transmission and energy resolution. ⺠The best parameters for an analyzer construction are: entrance angle of θC = 45°; Source and detector slits ÎX > ÎZ; angular apertures Îθ > Îα > ÎZ; azimuthal aperture ÎÏ as wide as possible; Source located at the cylinder axis; ratio between inner radius and source dimension as large as possible.
