Abstract
⺠A review of important recent extensions of the one-step model of photo emission is presented. ⺠We show that high energy photo emission spectroscopy is a bulk sensitive tool. ⺠Inclusion of correlation effects using dynamical the mean field theory results in a quantitative description of ARPES from Fe and Ni. ⺠The combination of the coherent potential approximation with the one step model serves as an important tool to study disordered alloys. ⺠We show ARPES calculations in which the electron-phonon interaction is directly included via a k-dependent self-energy.
