Abstract
The KLL Auger electron spectra of atomic sodium and magnesium have been recorded with high resolution applying electron impact. Nearly all spectral features have been identified with the help of Hartree-Fock calculations. A comparison of the behaviour of shake probabilities and KLL Auger linewidths for elements with Z=10â13 has been carried out.
