Abstract
Tm3+-, Dy3+-BaLaGa3O7 phosphors have been synthesized by solid-phase sintering. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and photoluminescence properties of the phosphors were investigated in detail. The sample Tm3+ and Dy3+ ions co-doped BaLaGa3O7 obtain white light emission by integrating a blue emission band located at 455Â nm (1D2â3F4) and an orange one located at 573Â nm (4F9/2â6H13/2) attributed to Tm3+ and Dy3+ ions, respectively. The study on the luminescence mechanism showed that there is the energy transfer between Tm3+ and Dy3+ in Tm3+/Dy3+-BaLaGa3O7 phosphors.
