Abstract
A simple boronic acid derivative was utilized as a reaction-based receptor for CNâ in aqueous solution. The receptor showed a selective and sensitive response to CNâ over other various anions via nucleophilic addition of CNâ to the imine moiety of the boronic-based receptor.
