Abstract
Metal deposition into porous silicon (PS) by immersion plating in aqueous solution during different times was investigated. The influence of immersion time on optical properties of porous silicon treated with Lithium (Li) was studied by photoluminescence (PL). From experimental results, we suggest that the treatment, for critical immersion time provides an easy way to achieve an improvement in the PL intensity. To identify surface modification, Fourier transmission infrared spectroscopy and atomic force microscopy were performed. The reflectivity spectra showed that the variation of light absorption can be probably due to the newly formed layer during the chemical deposition of Li.
