Abstract
GGG:Nd nanopowder is synthesized by the sol-gel method using formic acid and acetic acid as chelating agents and ethylene glycol as a cross linking agent. TGA-DSC, XRD, photoluminescence spectroscopy and fluorescence life time analysis (Ï) are used to characterize the powder. XRD is used to optimize the synthesis parameters. According to XRD, complete phase of GGG nanopowder is formed at 800 °C for 1 min. Fluorescence life time analyses reveal that the optimum crystallization temperature is 1000 °C.
