Abstract
A series of stable lanthanide complexes Na[Ln(L)4] (Ln=Nd3+, La3+) with dimethyl (4-methylphenylsulfonyl) amidophosphate, dimethyl 2-naphthylsulfonylamidophosphate and dibenzyl(phenylsulfonyl)amidophosphate (denoted in the text as 1Ln, 2Ln and 3Ln) were obtained and characterized by X-ray diffraction, IR, absorption and emission spectroscopy at 293, 77 and 4 K, respectively. The intensities of the f-f transitions for the investigated single crystals were determined and analyzed based on the Judd-Ofelt theory. The intrinsic quantum yields (ΦNdNd) of emission were calculated using luminescence decay times and Judd-Ofelt parameters. ΦNdNd are 1.3% for 1Nd and 3Nd, and 1.1% for 2Nd.
