Abstract
CdSiO3: Tb3+, Re3+ long-lasting phosphors were synthesized by the conventional high temperature solid-state method. A green-light phosphorescence phenomenon, which was associated with the 5D4â7FJ (J=6, 5, 4, 3) transitions of the Tb3+ ion, was observed. Introduction of Re3+ (Re3+=Gd3+, Y3+, La3+) ions, which deepens the depth (Et) or/and increases the density (n0) of traps, greatly improved the afterglow properties of CdSiO3: Tb3+. Possible mechanism of CdSiO3: Tb3+, Re3+ was discussed in this work.
