Abstract
The luminescent properties of the samples depend slightly on the concentration of the doped europium (III) ions, in the range of 570-860 nm. The intensity ratio between the charge transfer band and the 4f-4f transitions is low. The most intensive is the red 5D0â7F2 emission (604-633 nm), with the maximum at 612 nm. The measured lifetimes are equal to about 1.88 ms and do not change up to the 3% concentration of the Eu3+ ions. Quantum yield (QY) was calculated from the emission spectra and measured. The most intensive luminescence (measured QY=27% at λexc=393 nm) possesses a sample with 3% concentration of the doped Eu3+ ions.
