Abstract
A symmetric fluorescent sensor based on Bodipy for Cu (II) ion was designed according to binding site-signaling subunit approach. This sensor was prepared by reaction of 2,4-diamino-6-methyl-1,3,5-triazine with a 8-{4-(chloromethyl)phenyl}-2,6-diethyl-4,4-difluoro-1,3,5,7-tetramethyl-4-bora-3a,4a-diaza-s-indacene in dimethyl formamide. The synthesis and the photophysical properties of Bodipy-triazine derivative were investigated in presence of some metal ion. The results show that this symmetrical fluorescent sensor has a high selectivity for Cu (II) ion.
