Abstract
Phosphors of CsEuxGd(1âx)(WO4)2 with different concentrations of Eu3+ were synthesized by the sol-gel method. The structure and morphology of the phosphors were characterized, using powder XRD and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM). Microcrystals are formed with plate-like morphology. The organic phenomena of metal citrate-ethylene glycol complex formation and its degradation were investigated using the FT-IR spectroscopy. The samples show a broad excitation band at 400Â nm and intense red emission (614Â nm, 5D0â7F2 transition) under 395Â nm excitation, with CIE chromaticity coordinates (x=0.64, y=0.35).
