Abstract
In this paper, a broad emission band from Eu2+-doped OHâ free calcium aluminosilicate glass is reported. By changing the excitation wavelengths, the results showed it is possible to tune the emission from green to orange, what combined with the scattered light from the same blue LED used for excitation, provided a color rendering index of 71 and a correlated color temperature of 6550Â K. Our preliminary tests indicate this material as a promising phosphor towards the development of smart lighting devices.
