Abstract
⺠Present work explores the effect of heat treatment temperature of glass in order to have good optical properties. ⺠Matrix of glass ceramic consists of two major phases, Sr3Ti2O7 and Ti10O19. These phases to form crystallization temperature. ⺠This crystalline matrix works as a good host for optical centres Er3+/Yb3+ ions. ⺠Crystallization enhances the optical activity of glass ceramic and also depends over the heat treatment temperature. ⺠Till a certain heat temperature, crystallization & optical activity increase but more causes a reduce in emission intensity.
