Abstract
⺠The bonding parameter studies reveal the covalent nature of prepared glasses. ⺠Higher R and Ω2 confirms the hypersensitive nature/higher asymmetry of the glasses. ⺠Higher ÏPE values of the Eu:ZnLFB glass lead to give high optical gain. ⺠Difference in Ïexp and ÏR is due to the presence of OH group and nonradiative decay. ⺠Eu:ZnLFB glass possess higher ÏPE, βR and η potential for red laser applications.
