Abstract
⺠We prepare monoclinic Nd3+:Y2O3 spherical NPs of mean D=12 nm by laser ablation of solid targets. ⺠We detect the fluorescence quenching of Nd3+ the 4F3/2 level by vibrations of OH- molecular groups. ⺠We find that at 0.1% of Nd3+ the process of static quenching by vibrations of OH- dominates. ⺠We find that Nd3+-Nd3+ energy migration accelerates the Nd3+-OHâ quenching at 1% of Nd3+. ⺠We detect non-stationary quenching kinetics ending with fluctuation stage of hopping quenching.
