Abstract
⺠Effect of Sr doping CaF2 on optical absorption and photoluminescence are explained. ⺠Various types of defects present are identified and interpreted. ⺠Variation of optical absorption and PL intensities with increase in γ-dose are accounted. ⺠Results of optical absorption and photoluminescence of Sr doped CaF2 are compared with undoped CaF2.
