Abstract
⺠Single-crystal structure determination of BaBrCl and solid solutions in the BaCl2-BaBr2 system. ⺠Crystallize in an orthorhombic PbCl2 structure-type. ⺠Solid solutions were determined to melt congruently and are mildly sensitive to moisture. ⺠Scintillation properties of Eu2+-activated BaBrCl and solid solutions are presented. ⺠The luminosity is estimated to be similar to the binary halide end members.
