Abstract
⺠Study of 1s-like exciton states in double quantum wells. ⺠Binding energy decreases with the presence of second well. ⺠Binding energy of (2,2) state can be larger than (1,1) state. ⺠Central barrier can remove degeneracy of states. ⺠Anticrossing between states can be induced via symmetries.
