Abstract
⺠The Pr3+ ions have been incorporated into BaYF5 nanocrystals. ⺠The optimal concentration of Pr3+ in glass ceramic changes on temperature. ⺠The lifetime of Pr3+ in the glass ceramic is slightly shorter than that in glass. ⺠The luminescence intensity of Pr3+ in nanocrystals is stronger than that in glass.
