Abstract
► Establishing the optimal concentration of doped Eu2+ in Ca0.8−xSi9.6Al2.4O0.8N15.2:xEu2+. ► The emission intensity of Ca0.736−ySi9.6Al2.4O0.8N15.2:0.064Eu2+, yMn2+ decreases with the increment of y value. ► Energy cannot be transferred effectively from Eu2+ to Mn2+ in Ca-α-SiAlON.
